Hi! Pure wellbeing sell hemp seed flakes & hemp seed meal as animal feed to comply with NZ law.

I recently gave my budgies fresh silver beet ouut of the garden and they ate the stems first - so I figured there must be something good in them so I am juicing them now!!

I guess bird seed would be a possibility. I am reluctant to go abroad for a supply because I know that MAF can be particularly funny about 'seeds' coming into NZ.

Looking for Kiwi Raw Foodies
I have recently been wandering around the South Island, based in Christchurch, with my husband visiting his family and as I am like a fish out of water eating "normal" food for two weeks or so I was interested in finding local raw, organic, biodynamic vegetarian eating possibilities in the South Island, both cafe/restaurants as well as buying fresh and dry produce at reasonable prices. Are there cooperatives running that I could participate…

Starting 100% from scratch
Well i dont know where to begin without making this a huge long post. Basically i have 2 kids (very young), i go to uni and a year ago i dropped 20kgish, stopped smoking and took up running. im still quite overweight, still running and have not lost anymore weight since Jan. Im really big into eating well and somehow stumbled across raw food a few days ago when i was looking at sites because i wanted to cut sugar and caffeine and preservatives out as a temporary mesure cos i was feeling…

Kale chips
Just got a food dehyrator and Nigel made some kale chips. Yummy Yummy.I could eat them all. I have been carrying them around with me in a glass jar and offering around. trying to spread the word that raw food is really tasty! Does anyone have any more recipies for kale?

A bit about me
Hi everyone. well a little about myself. My wife and I became interested in raw food about 1.5 to 2 years ago while researching ways to help my father with his diabetes. During the time since our income has been very restricted so we haven't been able to afford a completely raw diet and at time abandoned it altogether. But just before Christmas we made a commitment to transition to a 100% raw diet in 100 days. This will be a challenge, mostly due to our finances, so we welcome any tips or help… Continue
